Hi there, I just wanted to take a moment to give you some feedback on our stay with you last night.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we thought that every member of staff was amazing! We were made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The pub and our room was exactly as we had expected from the website. The bed was super comfy, the quality of the towels and bed linen was excellent and everything worked exactly as it should. Our dinner and breakfast was top notch; really great, tasty and enjoyable. Although it didn’t spoil our stay, we did find the room (Benefit of the Doubt) to be a little noisy from the kitchen and other guests who were stood outside the front door smoking and chatting. Perhaps next time we’ll try one of the lodges!
Your team is amazing. Your chef is excellent. Your pub rocks! We will be back. Our dog Ralph had a great first night away from home and we’re totally in love with Ticehurst!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Bell, which was buzzing when we visited. The Bell was also hosting a wedding party, but they were well segregated from the regular diners, and not disturbing at all. The food, service and ambience was great, and the emphasis on local ingredients commendable, even down to the wine from Ticehurst itself.

Me and my mother-in-law attended the gin tasting run by Jon. We had the most wonderful evening! From the gin infusions (all made in-house) and their tonic pairings to the tray of delicious food from the kitchen – everything was perfect. The evening ran so smoothly, and Jon was very knowledgeable – with the help of Monty making the drinks for us all! We got to try 5 different infusions and have 2 cocktails with our favourite infusions at the end. We were all sat around the fire pit and though we began the event as strangers we were all giggling like friends by the end of the evening. I couldn’t recommend The Bell enough and if you get the chance to attend one of their gin tastings…do it! You will not be disappointed!

The pub was still a pub, which speaks in it’s favour and the rooms were really lovely. The garden at the back was quite exceptional and I would have loved to see it in use. We had really nice light and fresh food in the evenings and the breakfast was quite serviceable but I wasn’t very hungry either!

My daughter Helen married her partner Luke at The Bell on the 14th July.
The wedding had been a long time coming due to being postponed three times due to the covid pandemic. Huge praise for Tessa who was wonderful in calmly changing the dates each time with no fuss at all. She was very supportive to Helen & Luke throughout.
The day itself went very smoothly thanks to Bryce & Jess. The Wedding Breakfast was delicious. The informality of the day ensured that everyone was relaxed & had a good time.
I thought the venue exceeded our expectations, gave us all the most wonderful day & beautiful memories that will last for a life time!
I would thoroughly recommend The Bell as a wonderful, quirky, intimate wedding venue

The hotel is in a very busy road and parking is difficult. However the hotel is superb. The staff are excellent. The restaurants has a lovely atmosphere both inside and in the incredibly beautiful gardens. Dinner and breakfast were both completely delicious and we had a room like an oast house in the garden which was wonderful with its own little patio. A really superb place to stay.

My partner and I stayed at The Bell for my partners birthday. We had an amazing stay and the staff were so friendly and professional. I am a very fussy eater but Patrick our waiter was so understanding and accommodating to my fussiness. I had the Arancini starter made In to a main meal and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to friends and family.
